2006 Club Info:

We are entering our 15th season in Club Volleyball and offer competitive volleyball instruction for girls age 10-18. Sunsetters has been represented in the Junior Olympic National Championships many times over the years and consistently fields teams ranked in the top 10 in the Great Lakes Region. Our 13-18 & under teams compete both locally and travel to at least one National Qualifier event each season. The Sunsetters Club experience fosters memories and friendships that last a lifetime. We look forward to being an important part of your 2006 volleyball experience. We take pride in our highly experienced coaching staff and are very fortunate to have more than one coach for most of our teams. We continually try to improve ourselves and our club by taking advantage of coaching clinics offered through the region and keeping an open mind to new ideas and techniques. We will once again offer weekly Setters Practice for all of our agegroups to help refine players skills and leadership qualities to sucessfully lead our teams. This is our second year offering this added benefit and we are very pleased to announce that Bonnie (Bremner) Pettigrew will once again run the program. Bonnie is a former Penn State 4 time All-American setter, USA National Team player and US Professional VB Chicago Thunder player. She also has extensive experience running camps and private lessons. We continue our relationship with Edward Health & Fitness Center in Woodridge and will once again offer enrollment in an extensive cardiovascular, strength, and jump training program. The entire program is monitored by the athletic trainers at EHFC. This is an exciting opportunity available exclusively to Sunsetters to not only improve players volleyball skills, but also their strength, conditioning, and jumping ability. See further information. We practice at Edward Health Center in Woodridge, Good Sam Health & Wellness Center in Downers Grove, Elite Sports Complex in Downers Grove and Montini Catholic High School Fieldhouse in Lombard. We believe it is important to keep our parents and players well informed and use our website and email to convey tournament and practice times, schedules, locations, maps, results and photos... on a consistent and timely basis. Sunsetters parents are informed parents! Parents/players are always encouraged to send team photos and news articles for display on the Club website to help share memories in the making.
